Slack notification setup
Follow these steps to connect a Slack channel to Klarent so you receive run failure alerts directly in Slack.
- Create an incoming webhook in slack
In Slack, you need to create an incoming webhook URL for the channel you want alerts posted to.
- Go to api.slack.com/apps and select your workspace app (or create one)
- Under Features, select Incoming Webhooks and toggle it on
- Click “Add New Webhook to Workspace”
- Choose the channel to post to and click “Allow”
- Copy the Webhook URL — you’ll need it in Step 3
2. Open notification settings
Section titled “2. Open notification settings”In Klarent, go to Settings → Notification. Click “Add Channel” to begin.
The Add Channel modal opens. Enter a name for the channel, then select “Slack” from the Type dropdown.

3. Paste the webhook URL
Section titled “3. Paste the webhook URL”Paste the webhook URL copied from Slack into the Webhook URL field.
4. Save the channel
Section titled “4. Save the channel”Click “Save”. The Slack channel now appears in your Klarent Notification settings and is ready to use.
5. Enable notifications per test suite
Section titled “5. Enable notifications per test suite”Notifications are off by default for every test suite. To enable them, open a test suite and click the bell icon in the top-right toolbar. A “Notification channels” popover lists all configured channels — click the Slack channel to select it.

Done : Notifications active
Section titled “Done : Notifications active”A checkmark confirms the channel is active for this test suite. Klarent will now post a Slack message whenever a run fails.
