The people behind Klarent

Klarent is founded by former Google engineers with deep expertise in AI research and large-scale infrastructure. Headquartered in Zurich and established in 2023, Klarent now operates across Europe, the US, and India.

Asheem Panakkat

Asheem Panakkat is the Co-Founder and CEO of Klarent. He spent 12 years at Google, moving from hands-on engineering to leading large-scale teams, including as Engineering Lead on Google Shopping, Google Maps, and Google Lens Education, experience that shaped his approach to shipping at scale, maintaining technical excellence, and growing teams without losing velocity. He previously founded plxLabs, and now leads Klarent, using AI to rethink software QA and help product teams catch bugs before their users do. He believes great products come from tight feedback loops, clear thinking, and obsessing over real user problems.

Momchil Ivanov

Momchil Ivanov is the Co-Founder and CTO of Klarent. Before co-founding Klarent, he spent nearly eight years as a software engineer at Google in Zurich, most recently as a Staff Software Engineer with a focus on information retrieval. In between, he co-founded techOS GmbH, where he built a mobile game for Android and iPhone. He started his career at Microsoft, working on the SharePoint search engine in Oslo after an internship in Redmond.
